Goddess Works to Future Works is a two-act dance program exploring the past, present, and future of movement as a source of transformation and connection.
Act I: Goddess Works – Created by Sumi Komo and Komo DanceWorks, this performance draws from Goddess energy across cultures and history, incorporating Buddhist influences, mythological themes, and natural elements. Highlighting female Goddesses, the work awakes the divine feminine energy, embodying resilience, metamorphosis, and timeless wisdom.
Act II: Future Works – Presented by Dance Continua, this performance shifts the lens toward innovation and technology in movement. Using motion sensors, interactive systems, and physiological data, Future Works explores how body language, posture, and breath shape human connection in a digital world.
Together, these acts create a dynamic contrast–honoring tradition while embracing the possibilities of dance for the future; with the human body remaining the ultimate technology. Future Works will premiere Continuum Interactive 2.0.
